Can you check your console (CTRL + Shift + i) when using Gmaps? There should be an error

“You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project at https://console.cloud.google.com/project/_/billing/enable Learn more at https://developers.google.com/maps/gmp-get-started“.

Google has implemented pay as you go pricing for the GMaps product, which means you’ve to enable the billing on your account by adding your card.

Just follow the URL provided by Google and enable billing and you’re good to go.
